Will You Dare To Bare This Year?

Kajal Agarwal

Spring/Summer has brought us lots of exciting trends to try out, from bright blue eyes used at Marc by Marc Jacobs to super sleek hair, there really is a whole range. However, one look that’s really got me intrigued is the no makeup style featured on many catwalks this year. For example, designers like Christopher Kane and Balmain kept their models looking super natural by using small amounts of concealer to conceal imperfections and hardly styling their hair. In an industry where appearance is so important, it comes as somewhat of a surprise that the idea of natural and simple beauty is something so profoundly embraced. It seems as though this year has been all about promoting our natural beauty. With events like #nomakeupselfies taking over our social media, women all over the world are encouraged to wear their skin with pride.

So what can we derive from this?

This summer it’s time to start loving the skin we have ladies! The focus should not be about hiding our flaws or changing our features, but highlighting our assets. Keep your skin looking healthy and glowing by eating healthily and drinking lots of fluids. Instead of using a foundation, it’s the perfect time to experiment with lighter options such as tinted moisturisers and skin serums. Try Origin’s Vitazing, if you’re looking for something to even out your skin tone and leave a natural glow. For something with a bit more coverage, MAC Mineralize Concealer is worth looking into.

Remember, with any makeup you wear its always about having the confidence in yourselves. So what do you think guys, will you dare to bare this year?
