Velauthan Vamadevan, a real estate agent based in Mississauga, is now $20 million richer after winning the jackpot from the Oct. 18 Lotto 6/49 draw. He has been buying lottery tickets for the last 20 years, and this time around made the purchase just hours before the Saturday draw – on his son’s birthday.
“I never expected it, I never thought I would win,” said the 62-year-old Velauthan. The father of 3 has not decided how he’ll utilize his winnings.
