I recently had the pleasure of spending time with my aunt and uncle from out of town, who love their Tamil songs from the black and white era. Listening to the soft and simple melodies in the background made me realize how timeless these songs were. When it comes to Tamil music, I’m generally a fan of all things A.R Rahman, but these songs, while sounding quite different, are great to hear! Here are 3 of my favourite picks from that era.
