As the wise Jay-Z said, I wanna live forever young. That doesn’t just mean YOLO-ing and frolicking in bars until 2am and sleeping in until 2pm, but making up for that toxic night in 4 ways to keep you looking like you’re 23 forever!
You might still be tackling acne from your adolescent years. Or frankly you may just think that you’re too young to bother with anti-aging. Either way, it all starts now so you can save on Botox later!
1. SUNSCREEN
I have to admit, I used to think that sunscreen was for Caucasians who got sunburned at the beach. Well, I was wrong. You’re supposed to use sunscreen every day even when the sun isn’t visible! Yes, even the tannest of us in freezing weather. But SUNscreen is a misnomer. Buy a daily moisturizer with some SPF. Here’s a drugstore brand that is super light and smells amazing.
2. REMOVE MAKEUP
I get ridiculously lazy too, but just wipe it off before you go to bed. It’s OK if your “I woke up like this” look isn’t as fabulous as you’d like. Just be gentle when removing. Patting instead of rubbing is much better for retaining taut skin.
3. SERUM
Yeah, people make fun of the fact that I have Estee Lauder anti-aging night serum. What am I 50? No, but when I’m 50 I’m planning on looking half that! The area under your eyes is very thin and prone to bags, wrinkles, sagging, everything. Using serum will slowly imbibe collagen into that area of the skin so it’s tougher and more resilient, just like you! Serums tend to be really expensive. Tip! Puncture gel Vitamin-E pills with a clean pin and rub this under your eye.
4. WATER
As if this is groundbreaking. Drink water. And a lot of it.
Pictured are some of the products in my skincare routine:
