Mariana was born in Montreal and brought up in Chennai and Toronto. She is currently a 4th year med student, hoping to pursue her focus in preventative medicine and psychiatry. Her passions include studying Tamil history and literature. She also has a vision of working with Tamil Eelam doctors to improve patient care and work ethics in Sri Lanka. Other than medicine, her time is spent loving her dogs to bits and cooking.
