Born in Madras (Chennai) to a multicultural Indian family; one grandparent each of Tamil, Malayali, Telugu-Brahmin, and Rajput-Bondili. Spent the first decade of his life in India, then moved to Brunei Darussalam before finally arriving in Canada at age 18 for university, and (perhaps a bit crazily) deciding to stay. Love literature, jazz and blues, basketball, tennis, rugby and photography. Makes his home in Ottawa.
