1. Soak Basmati rice in water for 10 to 15 minutes 2. In a heavy based pan, add oil and sauté the chicken with- cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, followed by garlic and onion. 3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook till the raw smell is gone. 4. Add the tomatoes followed by chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and turmeric. 5. Reduce heat, add curd and cook till half done. Let the chicken simmer. 6. Gradually incorporate the rice into the chicken masala. 7. Cover the lid and let the rice and chicken cook together for additional 10-15 minutes on medium heat.
